HUMAN ARTIST
I knew I was an artist by the age of 10. My compulsory need to create is deeply rooted in processing my emotions; I’m moved by the natural and spiritual worlds and their profound interconnectedness. Wonder, surprise, beauty, resourcefulness, and resilience are recurring themes. Whether I’m working from a photo reference or from memory, it is a deliberate act of "bringing the outside in," drawing on organic forms, elemental energy, and universal symbolism as its primary vocabulary. By translating the raw beauty and quiet mystery of nature onto the canvas or into three dimensions, I illuminate my observational fixations. This process serves as a meditative conduit, enabling me to ultimately "bring the inside out" by revealing deeply personal emotional and spiritual landscapes.
In addition to my private practice, I host figure drawing sessions at the New Hope ARTS Center most Mondays.
